Two/2 side plates - Antique French Terre de Fer/ironstone - each impressed on reverse Choisy le roi- these are early examples circa 1870- Lilac /Lavender colour way- beautiful and detailed border on these plates and fabulous strong colour.

TIMOTHÉE TRIMM, pen name of Antoine Joseph Napoléon Lespès, known as Léo Lespès, born in Bouchain (North) on June 18, 1815 and died in Paris on April 22, 1875, is a French columnist, writer and journalist.
He was, in 1862, one of the founders of the Petit Journal

FERDINAND DE PONSON DU TERRAIL, known as Viscount of Ponson du Terrail, born on July 8, 1829 in Montmaur and died on January 20, 1871 in Bordeaux, is a French writer.
A popular writer, he wrote 200 novels and soap operas in twenty years, He is one of the masters of the serial novel, especially famous for his character Rocambole, whose name is passed in the French language with the adjective "rocambolesque". His premature death was partly due to the suffering and fatigue endured during his involvement in the war of 1870.
