This is an absolutely adorable pair of antique bronze, highly decorative Louis style French frames, dating circa 1870.
They have simple prints in them,(Portraits of Marie Antoinette & Louis) and we have left in for display purposes - but these of course could be replaced.
The detail on these wall hanging frames , is exceptionally beautiful, ribbons, leaves garlands of flowers- beautifully crafted and with a superb aged patina.
The backs are original and bronze plates held in place by small original screws at the top. They each have an integral ring on the reverse at the top to hang.
Condition- The frames are in fine condition, no damage. One has the original thick bevelled glass - the other has an acetate disc over the print, the glass has clearly been broken some time in the past.MeasurementsDiameter frame -4.5"/11.5cms (approx)Height- 8"/20cms
