Trio of Marcel Franck vintage glass perfume/boudoir items - circa 1950's - rare red & gold colour way, all created in a "gold veined" ruby red pate de verre glass.
The perfume atomiser is stamped around the neck-Marcel Franck Made in France Brevete SGDG (Breveté SGDG was a French type of patent that ceased to exist in 1968. The name was a common abbreviation for "Breveté Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement“ )
The set comprises of a Perfume atomiser , complete with glass siphon tube (and a lingering classical fragrance when opened) & silk covered atomiser balloon. Silver metal top.
A Glass perfume flacon with matching glass stopper , again with silver metal trim around neck of bottle.
and a matching small glass beaker. - 3 Pieces in total.
Makes a charming stand alone collection or a brilliant addition to additional examples.
Condition - Good vintage condition - no cracks or chips - little bit of wear/rub to the pipe connecting to the balloon. Please do see and enlarge the photos as the clearly show the condition of the item and are an integral part of the description

Towards the end of the 19th century, Léopold Franck observed the tremendous rise of perfume . In 1882 he set out to develop an industrial manufacture of vaporizers, with the department stores and perfumeries as his first customers. In 1907, Marcel Franck, his son, succeeded him with a luxurious and refined vision, wanting to transform the spray into an art object. In search of the best craftsmen and know-how, he collaborated with crystal mills such as Baccarat and Saint Louis, as well as prestigious glassworks such as Lalique. It is under his artistic direction that the Marcel Franck brand obtains international fame and success.
Following the death of Mr. Franck, the company disappears, the vaporizers are then exchanged with a small, very active community of collectors.
Bernard Dennery, grandson of Marcel Franck, decided in 2013 to relaunch the brand with a desire to innovate (patents on new vaporization systems are filed) and to modernize the design by combining innovative materials with more traditional ones.
