Beautiful hand painted porcelain benitier - white porcelain Gold highlights & hand painted face details - it dates from the early 19th century and carries an impressed mold number - which we believe to be Choisy le Roi "2711"
The small stoup below Christ & putti is to hold the holy water.
The item is glazed(unglazed on the reverse) - It is designed to be secured to the wall by a small hole through the porcelain at the top.
These are becoming increasingly hard to source in France and this one is in fine condition - no damage or cracks - some extensive rubbing to the gilding - but please remember this item is almost 200 years old
