Just adore this large antique cast bronze entry /door bell - the bell and chain date from the early 20th century - the wrought iron bespoke support and frame has been created at a later date possibly 1930's/40s - when perhaps the original was damaged or broken.

This came from an ancient French Presbytère - the home of a Catholic priest - in a village local to us here in South West France- This functions perfectly and would be a charming addition to any home. It has the original clapper and has a mellow and resonating ring.

The bell is in cast bronze - decorative detail in relief - it has a chain to ring the bell and when pulled it swings easily and without resistance. We have not cleaned the bronze it is as found- but if the buyer wished to polish it would of course come up bright and shiny.
It has the original clapper.
