Absolutely adore this floral still life oleograph - - dating from circa 1930's-40's in the style of the baroque 18th century floral paintings. Signed lower right. Beautiful composition of Convolvulus and full bloom cabbage roses in a decorative lattice patterned jardiniere. - the quality of the original painting is superb , the detail in the flower petals and the lustrous green foliage and even the droplets of water on the leaves in the foreground. All is a against a very dark ground - which seems to make the floral arrangement 'pop' from the canvas. The frame is in a much earlier style, lavish 18th century with an oval aperture - this compliments the style , but in fact dates much later and is from the 21st century. Condition - Good vintage - To be picky, there is a little rub wear to the upper , blue convolvulus -visible in photos. Otherwise no damage to the painting. Frame solid wood & stucco -A tiny piece of moulding missing front upper left, again can be seen in photos. Size Frame 20" X 16" or 51 cms x 41cms - Depth 2"/5cms Oval aperture - 15" x 11.25” -OR 39 cms x 29 cms Affordable high quality decorative piece Should you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask - We are always happy to combine items for shipping and ship worldwide.
