Sold as decorative item - quartz mechanism not working - but possible to restore.
This is an absolutely delightful vintage French gilded bronze large mantle clock created in a Louis XV style complete with eternal flames and a pair of putti.
Dates from we believe the 1940's /50's - It is most decorative -
It has a German quartz mechanism on the reverse- which we have tried with a battery - but it failed to work - it may be possible to replace the entire unit - otherwise it is purely an exceedingly decorative piece.
Condition - light rub and wear - commensurate with age-.the face is lightly surface scratched- but does not detract.
