A treasure trove of French secrets perhaps - The beautiful tapestry covered box, lined with linen, dates from circa 1940's and originally held letters and envelopes by the prestigious Paris printers Cho'tel - the design Aubusson. It has a charming laurel wreath pull handle on the front of the drawer.
The box is as found and inside disclosed a collection of letters all in French and sent to Parisian addresses - in beautiful script and scribed in ink, all dating from the 1800's. We have left untouched and whatever secrets or information they hold will remain a mystery.
This is just a beautiful romantic box and contents , which displays beautifully on a shelf or table and captures forgotten memories or secrets.
Condition - Good antique /vintage condition -no damage to the fabric outer or to the pull handle.
