Blossoming and fragrant lilacs overflow from this French market basket - freshly cut - a mix of lilac & white with citrus green foliage- there is a pleasant luminosity created by the gradient grey-silver background.
This is a beautiful large original oil on canvas painting by French artist Marc Chailloux (1902-1971 )
This original oil painting is on canvas and framed in a painted wooden frame - it has a burnished gold finish with a calico coloured wood mount. The painting dates from circa 1930's -40's.
It is clearly signed on the lower right.

Condition- Good condition there is no restoration or damage apparent to the canvas . No fade or missing oils. The gilded wooden frame is overall in good condition- but does show areas where slim sections of the paint has flaked off(area shown in photos 3 & 8 ) .
