Reminder of your French vacation - Great display piece - fabulous gift !
Hard to find genuine, authentic vintage perspex taxi display as mounted on top of Parisien taxis- dating from the 1970's- 80's. This does not have all the electrical workings with it - but this would be relatively straightforward for someone to set up with a bulb if they preferred. There is an entry point for a cable on the underside - and there is a screw at either end which presumably releases the cover (we have not tried)
The red TAXI is in relief and the PARISIEN is recessed.
It has simply been displayed on a shelf on a simple wooden base - which is obviously included with the sign. The sign simply lifts off the stand.
This sign was produced/manufactured in Aix en Provence - and is stamped at the ends to say so. There were several factories around France that produced these signs over the years.

Condition- Good vintage condition- No marks, stains or cracks to the perpex casing or to the 3 coloured bulb covers beneath. There is some discolouration/oxydation to the metal frame on the underside.
