French 19th century train carriage lamp, with spring loaded candle. Constructed from steel and manufactured by Parisian Company Albert Butin 35 rue des martyrs Paris - Stamped on the side with full makers name and address also EST for Eastern France trainline. Designed to hang on carriage wall with two keyholes in bracket. The glass is original and handblown clear glass and the candle is spring loaded.
Glass shade attaches to lower part by bayonet fitting. Shade is etched with EST of the side of the glass.
Condition - The lantern is in good antique condition - some pitting to the steel , but minimal Glass free of cracks or chips - (Please do check out the photos they are there to give you a clear indication of the item and condition).
