This is a very stylish elegant antique bronze French Chandelier with three original Vianne double flower glass shades in opaque glass - circa 19O0's. I adore the bronze tendrils that create movement and are so typical of the scrolling lines found in art nouveau design- it also has a simplicity that creates an effective statement piece.

The bronze frame supports 3 arms, each with finials and decorative rosette detail - the gallery fittings to each shade are heavy and decorative - each has the 3 original screws to hold the glass shade. The glass shades are heavy and substantial and their construction and weight indicates these are the original shades not the lighter weight reproduction glass shades that we sometimes see on these chandeliers. Vianne Glass was founded in 1928 by glass artisans in the Bordeaux region of France and was the last remaining glass blowing factory in France. Sadly, the Vianne factory shut down several years ago, making this beautiful glass extremely limited and rare.

This Chandelier is on later wiring(not original) - and is in fully working order and compliant with French regulations - We would always recommend that you have any electrical appliance checked prior to using to ensure it complies with your Country's regulations for electrical lights. It is a simple job to a competent electrician to rewire these Chandeliers to be compliant with your Country's regulations.

Condition-The Chandelier is as we found - we have lightly cleaned -We think the aged original patina is priceless - but of course it would polish if the new owner wished to do so .There is no damage to the frame or missing parts - all screws are present on each gallery- The top of the glass shades (hidden under the gallery)are in good condition - there is no damage to any of the shades - petals etc -all intact.
