PAIR (Two Holdbacks) large antique heavy 1890's Louis XV style French bronze Curtain holdbacks - 

These are of excellent quality - highly detailed

They were most likely heavily gilded initially - ormolu finish being highly favoured during that period .

Each has a flat bar across the back for securing to the wall with fixing plates 

Condition - Good antique condition - carry wear to gilding commensurate with age - simply amazing and authentic. On the holdback where it connects to the wall fixing plate - there is a little movement on both- but totally solid and secure_ Please do check out the photos they are an integral part of the description and clearly show the condition.

Each holdback weighs 650 grammes each- total weight 1.3 kilos
