French antique heavy iron and metal oyster basket - this dates from the early 1900's and has been used to gather & store shell fish.
Large size - perfect to be used as a display/storage basket within the home or garden.
This oyster basket has an enviable patina - the metal is encrusted and it carries salt residue and discolouration of the metal & old green paintwork-the framework is iron and incredibly solid the metal chickenwire is strong has weathered the years & is undamaged- and possibly dates from the 1920's-30's . Two strong handles to carry and move around.
