Rich autumnal colours in this large framed French oil on canvas landscape - signed lower right Louise-Jeanne Cottard-Fossey (1902-1983) - also verso- and indicates it was painted in the Creuse, Limousin region of France. The painting is circa 1920 and is in the original wood & gesso gilded frame.
There is a rich lustrous and textual feel to this painting - the colours are a warm palette and the oils used impasto style in places have a sheen and brilliance to them.

Condition- This is an antique 20th century oil painting on canvas - there is no restoration or repairs apparent to the canvas and no fade. The gilded wooden frame is time worn in places with small areas where the moulding is missing but the colour has been replaced- only visible on close inspection and appropriate wear to the period .
