This is a most beautiful signed bronze coloured mixed metal Art Nouveau jug featuring the front and rear of a female nude , reclining on a large stone on either side of the pitcher- it is the epitome of the Art nouveau style - scrolling vines and leaves around the handle.

Signed J Garnier-Jean Garnier (1853 - 1910) is a sculptor, enameller, chaser, of Vendée origin. Self-taught . Artist active at the end of the 19th century. Garnier exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français where he obtained an honourable mention in 1892.
This casting has weight 0.8 kilos- Bronze - mixed metal with a copper hue with silver undertones.(mixed metals)
