Beautiful antique French Cruche Gargoulette Stoneware jug- This souvenir Jug which originates from the town of Prefailles, a pretty coastal town , on the Atlantic coast in the Loire Atlantique region dates from the 1920's and is a rare find.
These are used for storing water or oils. It is such beautiful colours with its emerald green lustrous glaze and khaki shaded body- it's hard to imagine how this beautiful item has survived so very well.
This is not only very tactile but also very aesthetically pleasing to the eye - It has a pouring spout, Top handle and side handle -
These were hand thrown on a wheel by local artisans - and has beautiful curved contours and has moulded and shaped handles -
Perfect in the home - look after it and it will last for another 100+ years. - Use for storage - a brilliant Vase for flowers or simply as a beautiful item to admire in your home.
Condition - In good antique condition, a couple of tiny glaze misses on the base - visible in the photos- Please check out the photos and expand they clearly show the condition.
