Sometimes we come across something that is so charming and absolutely unique that it's terribly hard to part with it - because you know you will never find another & therefore it feels so very special- this is such an item.

Made by hand from most likely cigar and fruit boxes- even the little zinc shutters are hand made and all the hinges - behind the shutters are double opening & closing wood frame windows. The house is over three floors, a basement , Ground floor and first. Each floor is linked by a wooden stair case and two of the floors are split into rooms with opening and closing doors. - This house has been made with much love and attention to detail. Many hours of work have gone into creating this naive piece of French folk art.

The house has a front and rear aspect (see photos) - a zinc roof with guttering and overlaid with wood. It supports 2 chimneys.

Front and back doors open and close and the basement door too- the front door - which one reaches via steps has a charming little Couronne -ring wreath made of leather.

Enchanting piece for display and it seems so sad to think this has been hiding in an attic for the last 70 years - it is time in our opinion for it to be displayed and enjoyed.

Condition- Good antique condition commensurate with age. Please do see all the photos  - The shutters have possibly been painted initially - but the paint whilst remnants remain - has worn away.
