Delightful three piece- Dating from the early 1900's this is a Paper knife with resting tray and a matching inkwell- Just a delightful decorative item to adorn a desk or table.
The tray and the inkwell sit on four integral feet.
These date from the early 1900's and are quality castings with fine detail and each piece has substantial weight.
Altogether a charming quintessentially French original gift
The Paper knife has two cradles on which to place the paper knife and the inkwell round circular lid with finial is hinged to lift and lower.
Condition - Good antique condition - On the tray there is a little dark staining in a small area on the edge (visible in photos) - Knife has been well used and shows signs of wear and is very smooth from regular handling - some light scratches to be expected. The inkwell is excellent and shows less signs of use than the knife and tray - altogether a quite charming set.
