Delicious box of 14 pieces (12 pastry forks & 2 serving pieces) French Gateaux Cake Pastry Forks - The epitome of Art deco in their styling pink marbled Celluloid /Bakelite/Galalith/Catalin handles with silver plated ferrules and inox/stainless forks - Two serving pieces a large Gateaux knife and Gateaux slice presented in brown faux leather box - with golden silk & velvet lining with double clasp closing- 

circa 1920's - rare to find a full complete set, This set is truly stunning with its pink marbled handles and black angular accents- geometric deco styling.

Condition - The box is in solid condition complete with fasteners- some signs of wear in places on the exterior -the silk & velvet lining is in good condition without damage or markings - The 14 pieces are all in bright shiny condition- I suspect little used . - some mimil tiny fissures on two of the handles - can be seen in photo 3. Each of the fork handles are very fractionally different sizes - this is clearly before "mass production" ! - these are hand crafted- each one unique. There is a little wear to the black accents in places but barely visible.
