A beautiful antique travelling triptych, Icon, wood and gesso - Italian, Florentine- carries label on verso Florence- dates from circa 1920s-. The image inside is of Raphael's image of Madonna and child.
- It is in a carved wooden triptych frame which is gesso & paint finished with an overlay of gold leaf- The inside of the doors have a pretty hand painted decorative pattern.
These small genuine antique triptychs are becoming more difficult to find - This has a little lost gesso and rub around the edges of the wood , but generally it is in very good condition and the images are undamaged. Please do check out the photos - they clearly show the condition of the item & are an integral part of the description.
