Antique French taxidermy bird - dating from the 1920's/30's - glass eyes.
This is a Lesser spotted woodpecker (Dryobates minor) native to France. It is on the original oak mount and wooden branch.
These would be a wonderful display item - look superb under glass dome or in your Curiosity cabinet.
It is in good antique condition with no dust, pest or missing plumage
