Recently we were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire some antique wallpapers from a shop which had remained closed since the 1950's. Along with the rolls of wallpaper we acquired some boxes which we suspect had been used to hold samples. This is one of those antique wooden boxes- covered in exquisite heavy period PAUL DUMAS paper - A large cube shape with a hinged lid and a wooden sliding clasp to close. It has some metallic braid along the top front edge. Not only is it visually decorative and a superb item for display- it offers superb spacious capacity for your treasures of choice.
We have left and included the sample of paper that were in when we found.
Condition - Very good - there is very slight rub on some of the corners - but overall no damage or tears to the paper. The metallic trim has lifted slightly on the edge of the fastening ledge - this could be easily reglued.
