This is charming antique, hand painted French piece of tole ware- in the style of Napoleon III , but most likely dating from circa 1920 - perfect for daily use as a trash can/litter bin.
Alternatively it would make a very attractive planter.
Black heavy metal (this does have weight) with pierced fretwork detail around the top and base and a lavish colourful floral bouquet , against a black ground, rims highlighted in gold.

Condition- Exterior decorative paintwork - overall is very good -there are a couple of historic retouches - no obvious dings or dents -inside is good (see photo) - it is solid and stable .
