Absolutely adore this pair of French Etain/Pewter Obelisk shaped vases- although these date from the late 1800's - terribly evocative of the Art nouveau period - trailing floral decoration (different design on each vase) they have, a contemporary flavour & style, perhaps because of angular shape, suggesting a cross over period between Arts and crafts and nouveau. These are a matching pair in size and shape -although as mentioned the floral design is different on each- they are made with repousse decoration and with a wrap around technique. They are both water tight. We have absolutely left these as found - if the buyer preferred to polish - clearly this would be possible. They would make a superb statement on any side table or on a table - simply a beautiful addition to any elegant home. written signature on base of one. Condition - Excellent antique condition - there are minor areas of rub in places - but nothing in our opinion to detract -they have clearly been extremely well cared for - as the wear is minimal - no visible damage. Please do check out the photos and enlarge - they are an integral part of the description Height 12"/30cms Width of base 4.5" x 4.5" or 11cms x 11cms Width at top 2"/5cms Weight 1.2 kilos together- Price is for the pair We ship from France
