This is a large  antique French cross - carved from wood and mounted on a gilded wooden decorative base - Metal filigree detail and gilded metal Christ.

At the top it reads INRI (Jesus) 

In our opinion this would look superb and imposing in an industrial style setting - equally at home in a contemporary setting - 

We believe it to date from the late 1800's Napoleonic in styling.
