Large heavy cast French decorative plaque /garniture - suitable for furniture /door/decorative panel etc - Gilded over painted base circular central cartouche with beaded frame and central basket of fruit - decorative scrolls on either side - with acanthus leaves to close at the ends.

This plaque has 4 clear holes to secure to wall/wood etc.

This dates from the 19th century - latter quarter most likely the style and method of casting is quite typical of this period - on the reverse you can see layers of paint 

Condition - Good antique condition - the gilding has rubbed in places exposing the base coat - but nothing in our opinion to detract -
