This is a superb large religious chapel altar crucifix from the 19th century (circa 1880). Christ is made of bisque porcelain and is on a gold painted wooden cross. It is surrounded by gold filigree metalwork with an ornate & intricate design. Porcelain plaque above Christ and Crown medallion with the lamb of God at the base.
This is a truly beautiful French religious item.
