This is a most charming and exquisite French 19th century glove box . Hand embroidered floral pattern, satin stitch in silks against a self patterned silk brocade - simply darling. Wood & carton frame shaped edges and trimmed with rope passementerie. The inside is lined with plain silk. It fastens with a simple loop over a round bead.

Condition
Good antique condition -a little fading to the embroidery, and a little wear to the embroidery - but truly minimal considering age. Piping all intact and with no damage. Inside there is a little light staining - see photos.
