This is such a time worn , characterful French Kettle weathered & well used, this would hang over a fire and dates from the mid 19th century - 1850-60's- Hammered Copper body , iron handle and brass finial on the kettle lid , with snake spout- It is quite amazing to think that this would be totalled crafted by hand , metals heated in a fire, hammered and shaped and then treasured and used every day for a lifetime.
Has some dings and the construction is far from perfect but this is what gives this kettle it's personality and makes it so very unique and one of a kind- a perfect addition to your Country or primitive style kitchen - suitable for display purposes only -
