PAIR (Two Holdbacks) large antique heavy, large 1890's bronze French Curtain holdbacks - with incredible Fleur de lys detail. barley twist arms and art nouveau detailing on the back plate.

These are of excellent quality - highly detailed & stamped/signed on the reverse of each. 'GH' which we believe is for Georges Hauchet who had a fonderie/foundry at 14 rue de Turenne, 4ème arrondissement in Paris. They cast fine curtain poles, holdbacks and many other interior and exterior items and were operating between 1830 and 1940.

They are secured to a wall via the backplate.

Condition - Good antique condition - we have lightly and sympathetically cleaned - there is wear , commensurate with age - but they are fine condition and a rare & excellent example of grand French holdbacks. Please do check out the photos they are an integral part of the description and clearly show the condition.
