Adorable Provencal French antique boutis quilt or comforter - beautiful cabbage roses and trailing blue ribbons on a calico coloured ground and on the reverse side a delicious claret toile of birds and butterflies on an almost white ground . The edge of the quilt is scalloped. Totally reversible either side is equally attractive.

This dates from the 1930’s and is in great condition for the age - this quilt has been treasured and cared for. There are no repairs or damage. I can see no staining or marks. There is possibly a little light fading evenly and overall- minimal.
