Each carries the Gien stamp underneath glaze on the bases - from this we are able to date these accurately.
They illustrate major events in the Life of Jeanne d'arc (born 1412 – 30 May 1431)patron Saint of France - and below each illustration is a description of the scene.
Honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War. Claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France.

Condition -These are in excellent condition for antique plates - light crazing mainly on the reverse. There are some bleeds on the glaze -from the transfers - these would have happened at the factory on production -Please look at photos as these clearly show the items and condition.
